Nathalie Labeeuw is one of the foremost Belgian estate planning and family property law experts. She advises on the transfer of family businesses and takes care of the wealth planning of sometimes very complex family situations. Her clients include individuals belonging to the top 100 wealthiest Belgians. This knowledge and experience makes her the ideal lawyer to head up our Civil Procedure department. She is a lawyer at the Brussels Bar.

Education

Nathalie has a law degree from the Catholic University of Leuven and the University of Poitiers. She also holds a Master in Notarial Law (KU Leuven) and worked for several years as an assistant at the Institute for Family Property Law (KU Leuven). Nathalie is Dutch speaking, but also speaks English and French.

Practice areas

Nathalie Labeeuw is a specialist in succession planning, family property law and private international law. She advises on the transfer of family businesses and works out asset planning for clients with complex family situations, whether or not they have an international character.

Based on this knowledge and experience, she is the ideal lawyer to head our civil litigation department. Nathalie assists in liquidation and partitioning proceedings after divorce or after death, which often involve peripheral problems (e.g. disputes about the validity of a will or a donation, seals, appointment of a sequestrator, administration,...).

As a lawyer, she is a member of the Brussels Bar. She founded Cazimir together with her fellow partners in 2009. She works in the offices of Diegem, Ghent and Antwerp.

Publications and other professional activities

Nathalie is a much sought-after speaker at financial institutions, the Federation of Notaries, the Brussels Tax College and the University of Antwerp. She is also an editorial member of leading journals in her field.

She is also a member of the editorial board of leading journals in her field and chairman of the Editorial Board for Relationship Estate Law, Property Law and Family Law for magazine.

Finally, she already received a special name in Chambers oonline Rankings Guides as "outstanding lawyer".
